I spoke with an Army Veteran, while getting authorizations. His story, almost had me in tears on the phone.
He flew helicopters and while serving in Iraq the helicopter he was flying got shot down. He had several broken bones, but no internal injuries. He was in a cast for 9 months and had to learn to walk all over again. His muscles are weak, and he says he’s always in pain. He then said after getting out of the military he went to become a helicopter instructor, and one day a student of his crashed a helicopter with him in it. He said after using up 2 of his 9 lives it was time to step away from helicopters. Now he works in a safe office at his own cubical.

After hearing his story I told him how my husband just got home from deployment in November. I told him my dad, and grandpa are both military veterans too. I also told him about Terry, a friend I lost almost 3 years ago, while he was serving in Afghanistan. (I was fighting tears at this part) He said I’m very sorry for your lose, but he died what he has always wanted to do. I thanked the man for his service and he said “that’s what I signed up to do”

I can honestly say I don’t say “thank you for your service” enough to any of the people I know around here or back home. I grew up with military all around me. To think I have so many friends and my husband in the military makes me a proud Navy wife. Everyone should go up to someone in the military and thank them and his/her family.

Right now all i hear my boss say is:

“nag nag nag  bitch bitch bitch”

Is it 1 o’clock yet?? I’m ready to start packing stuff AND go to the store to get some more things that me and Danny will need this weekend.

I WANT A GREAT DANE PUPPY!

I played with one today at the dog park when i went with molly and little theo (Molly’s dog. The great dane was so precious! I loved him!

The next 2 weeks are going to be very long…
Next week Danny goes Underway, all week next week, then the week after they will be going Yorktown for a few days.

Then the first week of June, I’ll be in MD for my baby sister’s high school graduation!
